This Beginner Sewing class is the perfect place to start if you are learning to sew for the first time or if you are looking to refresh your sewing skills.

Our in-person class meets once a week for six weeks, for a total of (12) twelve hours of instruction. Sessions are made up of small group lectures and tutorials. All sessions are hosted at our studio in Oro-Medonte. Recommended for ages 17+

Learn how to take body measurements
Select sewing patterns
Make basic pattern adjustments
Follow a commercial sewing pattern
Choose the right fabric for projects
Sew a beginner sewing project
Learn various sewing techniques

You will develop the skills and confidence needed to explore new sewing projects. There is no prior sewing experience required for this class. However, you can take our Sewing Basics 101 as an introductory class. This is a small group class. There are lots of opportunities for one-on-one attention and feedback in all of our classes.
