Crafted Spaces Terms and Conditions

Crafted Spaces delivers workshops (a one-time learning session), classes (a series of learning sessions) and creative programs (including kid’s camps and other learning series). Your registration in a class, workshop or program is not confirmed until you have completed the registration process and submitted payment in full. Attendance is by pre-registration only. We do not accept walk-in registrations. If you want to register for a class that has already begun or register for a class less than ten (10) business days in advance of the first session, please contact us at create@craftedspaces.com or call 705-828-7096.

Payments and Deposits

All payments are payable to Crafted Spaces. Acceptable methods of payment are cash, cheque, money order, INTERAC Flash, Canadian e-money transfer, credit card, PayPal, Western Union or bank wire transfer. A minimum deposit of 30% of the cost of your registration is required to reserve your seat. The balance of your payment is due ten (10) business days before your start date unless other payment arrangements have been made.

Payments can be made at our studio with any of the methods of payment listed above. Payments by cheque or money order are accepted by mail. Please do not mail cash. Please send e-money transfer payments to create@craftedspaces.com. Payments can be made online using a PayPal account or with a Credit Card via PayPal. Payments can also be made at the studio with Square using INTERAC Flash, contactless credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and chip credit cards. Square payments are subject to Square terms and conditions (https://squareup.com/ca).

Please contact us in advance to arrange payment in person or to make any other payment arrangements. Full payment must be received by Crafted Spaces at least ten (10) business days in advance of the first session unless otherwise arranged. 

30% deposits are non-refundable for classes, workshops or programs where a guest instructor has been booked in advance or if supplies for the class, workshop or program have been purchased or prepared in advance of the start date. Please review individual class descriptions to confirm where this may apply.

If arrangements have been made with Crafted Spaces to pay at the start of your session, we will only accept cash, e-money transfer, Credit Card via PayPal, INTERAC Flash, contactless credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and chip credit cards via Square.


Private Classes

Private classes must be completed within a six-month period from the date of registration. After six months no refund or credits are available for unused portions of time. Please contact us via email at create@craftedspaces.com or call 705-828-7096 if an extension is needed due to an emergency.

Missing a Class Session

If you are unable to attend a class session, we may be able to accommodate you on another day within the week or at a future date. Please inform us 48 hours in advance of any cancellations. If you are unable to do so, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to reschedule within a week. You will be contacted via telephone or email to schedule a make-up class.

Crafted Spaces classes are designed with cumulative learning in mind, so make-up sessions are highly recommended. With most group classes, a make-up class will be required so you can keep pace with the rest of the group.

We ask that you do not change classes more than three times in a six or eight-week session and no more than twice in a four or five-week session. Due to limited seating, Crafted Spaces may not be able to accommodate your requests for session changes. Missed classes will not be refunded or transferred to a future session.

Holidays and Weather

Classes, workshops and programs at Crafted Spaces run as scheduled; however, we do not hold sessions during select holidays. Sessions may also be rescheduled due to severe weather conditions. If there are any changes to your class, workshop or program schedule, you will be contacted by telephone or email. A make-up date can be arranged.


Walk-in and Late Registrations

Walk-in registrations are not accepted. If you are interested in registering for a class, workshop or program that has already started or if you were unable to register prior to the start date, please email us at create@craftedspaces.com or call 705-828-7096 to register before the second session. Where possible, arrangements will be made for you to make up the first missed session.


Cancellations

If you are unable to attend the class, workshop or program in which you are enrolled, you must let us know within ten (10) business days of your registration. You must make your cancellation request via email at create@craftedspacees.com.

Upon receipt of your cancellation request, a minimum $50 administration fee will be applied, and the balance of your payment will be refunded (unless otherwise noted within the class description). Please note that for some classes, workshops and programs, 30% of the registration fee is non-refundable in addition to our administration fee. Some classes, workshops and programs also have specific cancellation deadlines. Please review individual class descriptions to confirm where this may apply.

We may credit the full amount of your registration with no administrative fee, for use towards our products, classes, workshops or programs. The amount held as credit must be used within six months. You may also transfer your registration in writing to someone else, with no administrative fee.

Cancellation requests made after ten (10) business days are non-refundable.

If you register for a class, workshop or program less than ten (10) business days in advance of the scheduled start date, or if you stop attending within one week of the start date, no portion of your payment will be returned. You can, however, transfer your registration to someone else in writing.

If a class, workshop or program is cancelled by Crafted Spaces, your payments can be credited toward the purchase of products or new registrations. You may also receive a refund on a prorated basis if future sessions are outstanding, or payments may be refunded in full. Any cancellations made by Crafted Spaces will be done in writing via email.

Make-up and Repeat Classes

If you want to repeat a lesson that you have already taken or if you missed a session and would like to make up the lesson, you can join us in a future session. Repeat lessons are subject to a $25 fee. Space is subject to availability. Email us at create@craftedspaces.com to make arrangements.


Refunds

There will be no refunds if you are not able to continue your class, workshop or program at Crafted Spaces. However, depending on class size, we may be able to accommodate you in a subsequent session or you may be able to transfer your registration to someone else.

If a class, workshop or program is cancelled by Crafted Spaces, your payments can be credited toward the purchase of products or new registrations. You may also receive a refund on a prorated basis, based on the outstanding sessions. Payments may also be refunded in full.

When possible, refunds are issued in the same method of payment received. The full name, address, email and telephone number are required to issue a refund.

Refunds are subject to the terms outlined in these Terms and Conditions.


Copyright and Intellectual Property

Crafted Spaces curriculum content and its supporting materials, kits and other intellectual property (“Intellectual Property”) have been designed and developed by Crafted Spaces for the exclusive use of Crafted Spaces classes, workshops and programs.

All materials, trademarks or other intellectual property appearing on this website, contained within learning materials and all curriculum content of Crafted Spaces classes, workshops and programs are the property of Crafted Spaces and Yvette-Michelle Cottle Darby. As such, they are subject to and protected by applicable copyright laws.

All Crafted Spaces Intellectual Property may not be copied, displayed, distributed, downloaded, licensed, modified, published, reposted, reproduced, reused, sold, transmitted, used to create a derivative work or otherwise exploited for any commercial purposes, in whole or in part, without the express written permission of Crafted Spaces and Yvette-Michelle Cottle Darby.

Nothing on this website or within any Crafted Spaces classes, workshops or programs shall be construed as granting any license or right to use any Intellectual Property rights, whether by estoppel, implication, or otherwise. You are also advised that Crafted Spaces and Yvette-Michelle Cottle Darby will aggressively enforce said property rights to the fullest extent of the law, including criminal prosecution.

All other trademarks and service marks that appear on this website are the property of their respective owners and are used solely to refer to those companies’ products and services for educational purposes.
