Description

This Visible Mending class is part of our new mending series. Visible mending can be done on both woven, and knit fabrics. This class focuses on how to mend woven fabric. Learn several visible mending techniques to repair, reinforce, and add beauty to your beloved well-worn woven garments. Gain the tools you need to effectively extend the life of your wardrobe.

With durable needlework techniques, we can fix holes and tears. Let us preserve, and treasure our garments for as long as possible.

You can bring in a woven garment you would like to repair. Participants are also welcome to bring in photographs to ask the instructor about specific mending issues.

Fabric swatches, threads and needles are provided for students to use while practicing the techniques. Additional mending tools, materials or specific thread colours can be purchased separately at Crafted Spaces.

You will learn simple hand-stitch visible mending techniques that require no previous experience. This is a small group class. Class size is small to provide one-on-one attention. Maximum 6 participants.
