Design Your Own Clothing Day Camp

Our Kids Creative Summer Camps are fun summer day camps designed for creative kids that want to learn more about textile art, design and sewing.

In our Design Your Own Clothing summer day camp, campers will work on designing and sewing a fun piece of clothing or accessory. Campers will design their own pieces and customize their creations using a variety of textile art and design techniques. The project(s) may vary based on age (11 to 17) and skill level.

learn how to modify a commercial sewing pattern
make basic pattern adjustments
learn how to work with different fabrics and embellishments
learn various textile art skills
develop hand and sewing machine skills
transform ideas into wearable pieces of clothing or accessories

This is a great camp for campers with some sewing experience. Prior sewing skills are not required, but will be an asset.

Project kits and materials are included with registration. You are welcome to bring your own sewing machine, but it is not required.

Design Your Own Clothing Summer Day Camps

Learn how to design your own clothing in this sewing and fashion design summer day camp. Campers will learn how to design and create their own clothing and accessories. Each day campers will develop and use their textile art, sewing and design skills, to create a fun project.

What to expect!

In our design your own sewing and fashion day camps, campers will explore fashion concepts, develop their own style, visualize their ideas, learn how to adjust and modify sewing patterns, and build hand and machine sewing skills. Campers will also use different techniques to embellish their sewing projects.

Campers will level up their skills by making a unique summer item.
Each day we will focus on developing a different skill.
They will learn how to modify a pattern block, and will build their design and machine sewing skills.
They will also explore ways of embellishing their sewing project(s).

Your registration includes access to our sewing machines and sewing tools. However, you are welcome to bring your own sewing machine and supplies.

Projects will vary based on skill level. Prior sewing skills are an asset, but is not required. We recommend that complete beginners contact us prior to registering.

Materials needed for projects are included with registration; however, additional materials and supplies are sold in studio.
